Live Music for Charity

Blair We Care

September 2017: Bobby Cameron organized a fundraiser for Edmonton's music industry's Blair McEwan. Blair McEwen's journey back from a debilitating stroke he suffered in November of 2016 has been an incredibly difficult battle for him and his family.

If you are not familiar with Blair McEwan, his life is his family, and his passion was the production end of the music business.

He has worked and travelled with many of North America's biggest acts. From his beginnings with Allstar Show Industries to his 20 plus years with FM Systems, Blair has worked every major music event, from festivals to stadium concerts. From high clearance access to the Queen and Pope's visit to his role as the recording engineer on Creedence Clearwater Revisited Double Platinum Release, Blair wore close to every hat in the music business.

Blair McEwen's journey back from a debilitating stroke he suffered in November of 2016 has been an incredibly difficult battle for him and his family. Left with limited speech and mobility with a paralysed right arm and hand, Blair is in need of long-term care and will not be returning home. Ripped by the roots from his work he had so passionately loved and torn from the life he built serving and protecting his family. Blair's world has been turned upside down in the blink of an eye!

There was a hugely successful fundraising concert, organized by Bobby Cameron, called "Blair We Care" at The Newcastle Pub on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

The Silent Auction featured items like signed merchandise from the late great music icon Mr Kenny Shields, also Kim Mitchell and a signed stratocaster from The Mavericks.

We enjoyed live music from Bobby Cameron,  The Stephanie Harpe Experience and wrapped up with Russell DeCarle of Prairie Oyster fame. The host of the evening was Mr. Cam Hayden.

There is also a GoFund fundraiser if you would like to donate online: https://www.gofundme.com/blairwecare
