SHAGUAR
Rockabilly, surf rock , country-ish Swing mashups, and retro spaghetti Western TV themes. Think Austin Powers meets the Ventures and Dick Dale but driving a hot rod, sporting a pompadour and a cape with Little Richard riding shotgun....
We are a 6 piece: lead and rhythm guitars, drums, keys, bass, and the fabulous Ms. Lily laying down the lead vocal for the rockabilly and swing-ish numbers, with the balance instrumental retro rock and surf. Our repertoire includes classics by The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Shadows, The Ryders, Wanda Jackson, The Trashmen, Robert Gordon, and many more retro rock and roll classics.
We also like mixing it up with instrumental mash-ups of more current artists as well as injecting rockabilly mojo into Rock & Roll classics!
Add cool TV and Movie theme tunes and you could be served up anything from the Pixies to Mancini, maybe a dash of instrumental Floyd, or Frampton backed by the Stray Cats for extra flavour...you never know, the Police might even show up...they always do if Tom Jones has gotten drunk again. www.shaguar.ca
